Remainders Part Deux Exercise

Note: about 46 seconds into the video, the video says that the remainder when x is divided by y is x, where x < y. This is not quite true when x is negative, especially as remainders cannot be negative on the GRE.

For example, -1 divided by 3 has remainder 2.

Whenever the Number Being Divided is Less than the Divisor, and both integers are positive, the remainder is simply the number being divided. For example...

$$5 \div 6$$

In this case, the remainder is $5$. This is because...

$0$ (quotient) $\times \ 6 + 5$ (remainder) $=5$.
